Gareth is our Chair. He is a is a chartered engineer with over fifteen years experience working with renewable energy, including involvement in a number of community energy projects.

 

He currently works as EV Chargepoint Coordinator at Carmarthenshire Energy, where he has worked with a number of organisations in all sectors on EV chargepoints. He is also a director of YnNi Teg and Seren Energy in addition to his work with SCEES.

Andrea is Cabinet Member for Homes, Energy & Service Transformation (Deputy Leader) at Swansea Council and has been instrumental in a wide variety of low carbon projects across Swansea Bay including the 'Homes as Power Stations' project.

CLLR ANDREA LEWIS

Ant is one of the founders of Gower Power Co-op. He has an MBA from Cardiff Business School and has been developing and managing social enterprises since 2001. He has long been fascinated by and involved in Positive Investment. He is the director of Gower Power Co-op and conceived many of it's partner projects including Cae Tan CSA, Gower Regeneration, Gower Power Solar as well as SCEES. 

 

He sits on Swansea Environmental Forum’s Executive Board and is vice chair of Swansea Local Action Group which helps to deliver the Welsh Government’s Rural Development Plan. He cares passionately about the importance of supporting local producers and suppliers, and wants to build more community ownership of local assets.

ANT FLANAGAN

Chris is a Founder Director and Secretary. He is responsible for all day to day queries and communications. He helped develop SCEES from the outset and is keen to support enterprise, skills development and community ownership. 

 

Chris developed the project whilst at Swansea Council but is now Head of Heat Network Projects across the south of the UK at the Department of Business Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

 

Chris has also been involved as a director with Gower Power Co-op, Gower Regeneration Ltd. and Swansea Environment Centre.

Tanya is a highly experienced and respected sustainability professional who initally conceived the project whilst at Swansea Council. She has worked with a range of public and third sector organisations, including City & County of Swansea and the Future Generations Commissioner’s Office

Tanya led the development of the project whilst at Swansea Council. As well as being an experienced trainer, facilitator and qualified teacher, Tanya is competent programme and project manager. As well as being a Swansea school governor, Tanya is a member of Cae Tan Community Agriculture Scheme and is a director of Gower Power Co-op.

TANYA NASH

Born in Swansea, Keith is keen to support and offer advice to local enterprise and start-ups. With a background in electrical engineering and 30+ years experience in the sector, Keith was a founder of multinational Swansea-based Pure Wafer PLC and Pure Wafer Solar. Keith is Chair of Swansea Economic Partnership & Member of the Swansea Bay City Region Board.

Karl has 20 plus years of technical expertise and knowledge with the construction, electrical, solar PV and health & safety sectors. He has worked on projects ranging from education and national retailers to clean power stations. He considers renewable energy technologies and battery storage to play a massive part in meeting our future energy needs.
